Follow Our Adventure as it Unfolds!

Our grand opening party took place on March 13th, 2021, right at the height of the Covid pandemic. Even some of our family and friends thought that we were trying this at a bad time and that things wouldn’t go well, but when you have a dream, you’ve got to chase it! It took a lot of hard work, blood, sweat, and tears, but we were able to remodel this location and take it from a banking business center into the modern and friendly souvenir and gift store you see now!

Once things got started, we were off and running and we’ve seen great things since! Thanks to the amazing support of our friends, families, local shoppers, and our bread and butter: Tourists, we have experienced some promising growth and we are very hopeful for the future! Truthfully, starting and running a small business is actually an incredibly nerve-wracking venture. But, despite the risks of small business, Covid, and the politics of competing souvenir businesses in the Salt Lake area, we’ve made sure to live and let live and karma has rewarded us! We’ve been featured in several local news stories and even interviewed with a German video team working on a piece to promote travel outside of the their country.

Hello, everyone! We hope your summer is going well and you’re finding time to relax and enjoy yourselves before the school year starts up. This year is a HOT one so, stay hydrated and stay cool, especially all of the kiddos! Things are going pretty well with our burgeoning business and we know that we owe it all to those of you that have supported us this year. Whether by stopping in to say “hi” during your travels or dropping us a 5-star Google review, all of you have had some small part in keeping us going, and growing! We can’t keep a business running without finding loyal customers who pop in to visit whenever they’re in town, and we can’t keep loyal customers without listening to them, hearing what they like or don’t like, and strengthening our relationship with them. There’s a reason we like to keep the spotlight on local small business owners, artists, and creators from Utah: We’re a community! Citywide, statewide, and even globally!

As retailers, creators, customers, or even well-wishers, we’re all in this together and, as the Beatles said, “I get by with a little help from my friends.” Well, friends! Enjoy the rest of this summer and safe and happy travels! We hope to see you soon!

Well, the travel season is winding down and it’s been a great summer meeting everyone that’s come in from out of town, out of state, and yes, out of last minute desperation to grab a gift or memento for someone they forgot about! Because this is our story, we’re going to be honest about it: We’re a little worried about what winter will bring. It’s well known in the souvenir business that there are down times, and we have some plans to prepare for the slower business season, but the unknown is always a little scary, isn’t it?

But, karma has been good to us these past 6-7 months and we expect it will continue to be so as long as we continue to do what we believe is best. We try to live and let live when it comes to competing businesses, though we have seen some stressful times from those who don’t follow the same maxim and don’t always play fair! We believe in amazing customer service and busting our buns to keep the lowest prices available. Why? Because, we miss the old days when everyone had “a guy/gal” that they could go to for their needs. We love having someone we can always take our vehicles to for service because they do good work at a fair price. We love having someone we can turn to for plumbing problems, electrical problems, etc. And do you know where you most often find those trustworthy and reliable people? Small businesses! Because those people are invested! They’re not just in it for a paycheck printed out by a large corporation. They care about what they do because they know its their passion and their livelihood.

Our goal has always been to be the go-to for people needing our services and we believe that there’s a bigger picture than just the simple business plan of “people need souvenirs, let’s sell souvenirs.” We want to provide service, to strengthen our community locally and abroad. To that end, we even send people to our competitor’s stores if we don’t currently carry something they’re specifically looking for, because it’s about helping each other out, customers and competitors.

People enjoy this great and beautiful state of ours! People make memories while they’re here, or remember the people they’ve left at home while they’re here, and they want some memento that will remind them of those great memories or let the people they love know that they were thinking of them while they were away and, most importantly, they don’t want some cheap generic product that can be found at any local gas station in a tourist town! We know that because we’ve been there! As we’ve said earlier, “we’re all in this together,” and we mean it. Our goal is to provide something meaningful; to sell things that we ourselves would want to grab on a trip somewhere and we hope that we’ve done a good job of doing that during our first year of business! All the kind people that have left us those 5-star reviews make us hopeful that we have succeeded in our goal.

Rest assured, we’ve learned a lot this travel season, and we’re constantly striving to improve ourselves so that we can be that go-to for all of our new friends! If we didn’t have what you were looking for, we’re working to get it. Feedback is important and, thankfully, thus far, ours has been positive these last few months. Our goal is to keep it that way! We hope to see you all next summer!

Our 1 year anniversary! We opened our doors 1 year ago to the day and, like all anniversaries that mark a great occasion, we definitely feel there is cause to celebrate! With the trials of the pandemic, the hardships of opening a small business, and the lessons we had to learn, we managed to flourish through it all! And, we have so many big plans for the coming year! But, we recognize that our continuing success isn’t only because of us. We wouldn’t be where we are today without the support of our family and friends, local business owners, and our cherished customers! Our struggles were lightened through the support we received and the advice we listened to. Our hearts were filled by the steady flow of people walking through our doors to support small business; ours and those that we, in turn, support. Our business has improved with every great review we gratefully received. So, while we want to celebrate our success and our anniversary, we hope you’ll celebrate with us. Thank you ALL so much! It means the world to us!

Great things are coming, friends! We have something in the works that we’re really excited about! We think that not only will it benefit our little store but also downtown Salt Lake City! We can’t say much more at this point, but keep an eye out!
